Furthermore, a PMO supports the planning, the coordination and the controlling of a company’s project business, provides instructions and offers coaching and support for the project managers. In big companies and programs the PMO takes care of the maintenance and steering of the project portfolio as well. Often a PMO takes over the role of a central contact point, where the stakeholders are served and the communication tasks were executed.
